As Dave Hillis mentioned to open the LF Town Hall on Wednesday, November 4, LF is perhaps one of the only places in the country where people from both sides of the political aisle are willingly gathering on the day after a highly contentious election. Despite the challenges, we believe that LF’s indispensable strength is not agreement on any or all issues, but rather the capacity to love amidst acknowledged and celebrated differences. In a word: relationships.
Our guest Bill Milliken has been preaching the importance of relationships for many years through his work with Young Life, Communities In Schools, and all of the generous connections he has made for other people and organizations, including his role as a Board Member for Leadership Foundations. Though young at heart, Bill has seen the world change many times and has acquired deep wisdom that he was willing to share with us as we look at the work yet to come.
We were also grateful to be joined by Abhishek Gier to share about the incredible work he and his team are doing through the Catalyst Leadership Foundation in New Delhi, India.
Make sure to join us next week as we welcome Peter Wehner, Vice President of the Ethics and Public Policy Center and Samuel Bolen from Jackson Leadership Foundation.
