In September 2019, the Nairobi Leadership Foundation gathered leaders, a local school, government officials and ministry partners to build a multi-sport court in the heart of Kibra.
These courts can be used for basketball, volleyball, and tennis.
the Nairobi Leadership Foundation is utilizing sports as an avenue to provide mentoring to children and youth in the area, as well as attract investment in water & sanitation and medical services from local businesses.
A team of the LF Global Youth Initiative visited Kibra in September 2019, including Torrey Bates (pictured here) to support the coaching/mentoring curriculum development.
Strathmore, one of the top private business schools in East Africa has partnered with the Nairobi Leadership Foundation to provide mentors to serve 53 girls in Kibra high schools.
